IKEA US
Partner since 1988
IKEA has supported UNICEF in the U.S. since 1988 and has been a global UNICEF partner since 2000, with support including grants, greeting card sales, in-kind product donations, and cause-marketing programs where all IKEA stores worldwide unite in a common promotion around the same product. Over the course of the partnership, IKEA's support to UNICEF has exceeded $25 million in cash donations, including a multi-million dollar investment in support of child protection and immunization programs in India and $2.8 million in support of Right to Play programs in Angola and Uganda.
Soft Toy Holiday Promotion
In a global IKEA initiative, now in its third year, IKEA stores around the world are joining together to make a donation for each soft toy sold during the holiday season. IKEA stores in the U.S. will donate $1 from the sale of each soft toy this holiday season to be split between the U.S. Fund for UNICEF and Save the Children. Over the past two years, this program has generated almost $4.2 million to help save and improve the lives of children around the world. For more information, visit http://www.ikea.com/us/en/

Grants
IKEA announced an additional $12 million contribution in March 2007 for women's programs in India.
BRUM Bear Promotion
U.S. stores participated in a global IKEA cause-marketing effort built around IKEA's BRUM stuffed toy bear to benefit UNICEF programs for children affected by armed conflict in Uganda and Angola. The promotion began in the summer of 2003 and concluded in August 2005.
In-Kind Donations
IKEA contributed more than $4 million in cash and in-kind donations to UNICEF programs in tsunami-affected countries and the region affected by the earthquake in Pakistan.
