Jazmine is a high school senior near Los Angeles, California. She is passionate about creating change and being a voice for underrepresented communities. She fosters her passion through various policy work and advocacy efforts. She is extremely passionate about advocacy and children’s rights, so she became involved with UNICEF USA. In addition to UNICEF USA, she is a mental health policy specialist for the Youth Power Project, where she drives policy, research, and education efforts to advocate for youth-centered mental health policy reform at a K-12 and collegiate level. She has advocated for change with various organizations through leadership positions such as Harvard's SOPH Youth Corps, Your Rights, Explained, as a state representative, the California Catalyst Center as a Youth Board Advisory member, and the Youth Civic Network as a Policy Director. Outside of UNICEF USA, she enjoys running, baking sweets for family and friends, and painting!
