Téa Leoni
A UNICEF Ambassador since 2003, Téa represents the third generation of her family working to help the children of the world and to champion their rights.
"Working for this organization has been the greatest source of pride for me"
An actor known for her starring roles in "Spanglish," "The Family Man," "Deep Impact," and "Madam Secretary," Téa Leoni has championed UNICEF's mission in many ways: as a UNICEF Ambassador since 2003, UNICEF USA National Board Member since 2004 and as the voice of many videos promoting UNICEF's global work for children.
Téa’s grandmother, Helenka Pantaleoni, helped organize and served as vice president of Women United for the United Nations. In 1947, she co-founded the U.S. Committee for UNICEF (later called the U.S. Fund for UNICEF, now called UNICEF USA) and served as president for 25 years.
Téa’s father, Anthony Pantaleoni, served on UNICEF USA's National Board for many years.
Téa has traveled extensively with UNICEF, visiting programs in Honduras, Vietnam, Haiti, Ethiopia and Brazil to see UNICEF's lifesaving work firsthand.
Asked what UNICEF meant to her, Téa responded: “There is no greater organization for children than UNICEF. We are there before and after everyone else, and we don’t stop until the job is done. With our reach, experience and success, UNICEF has saved more children’s lives than any other organization on the planet. And working for this organization has been the greatest source of pride for me.”
