Attention last minute holiday shoppers! Are you looking to give a present that also makes a difference for children? Then you’ve come to the right place. This year, you can give a gift you feel good about.
Now through December 24, when you buy a soft toy at IKEA stores, you are helping to give a child a brighter future. Through its annual “Soft Toys for Education” campaign, IKEA continues its long-standing partnership with UNICEF by helping to provide children with access to a quality education.
For every soft toy and accompanying children’s book sold during the holidays, the IKEA Foundation will make a donation of 1 euro (approximately $1.35) to help support UNICEF and Save the Children education projects around the world - including support for UNICEF’s Schools for Africa initiative - helping UNICEF provide millions of children in some of Africa’s poorest countries with access to improved education and better schools. IKEA soft toys include a range of colorful stuffed animals, green vegetables and finger puppets along with a new circus-themed collection of plush toys.
Millions of children have already been touched by the IKEA Foundation’s generosity. Since 2003, the “Soft Toys for Education” campaign has raised $47.5 million!
Also, continuing a tradition of over 20 years, UNICEF greeting cards are available at IKEA stores. IKEA will donate 100% of the purchase price of each holiday card pack plus an additional $1 per pack to UNICEF to support lifesaving programs for children around the world.
