UNICEF is at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week!

It seems UNICEF is becoming very fashionable this fall. First, Heidi Klum is named Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF Ambassador and now we're at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Lincoln Center, which kicked off on September 8 in New York City. Through September 15, we'll be blogging, posting and tweeting from a special booth in the main lobby that showcases historical highlights of Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF.

Here's what we're doing at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week:
  • FEED Trick-or-Treat bags will be on sale at the booth, and each bag purchased* will help UNICEF provide one child in the developing world with an entire year's worth of micronutrient powder, which, when sprinkled over a meal, provides the nutrients a child needs to survive and thrive.
  • Also, guests will be able to strike a pose with fun Halloween props at the UNICEF photo booth, which allows participants to instantly email, text, or tweet their photos. Their photo may be selected to appear on the Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF website which goes live on September 20! If you're on Twitter you can use #TOT4UNICEF and #MBFW to see photos now!
  • On Tuesday, September 13 only, in the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week South Courtyard, an exclusive exhibition of UNICEF's lifesaving work will be on display. Guests will get an insider view of UNICEF's programs in water and sanitation, education, health, nutrition, and emergency relief that save and protect children around the world. Media, celebrities, and guests will have the opportunity for a hands-on learning experience with items that UNICEF uses in the field, including an emergency tent used in the wake of crises such as earthquakes, floods, tsunamis, and armed conflicts, as well as a midwifery kit, School-in-a-Box, insecticide-treated mosquito net and Basic Family Water Kit.
We hope you can join us - in person or online!

*For each FEED Trick-or-Treat bag purchased from September 8-15 at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, $3.50 will go to support UNICEF's nutrition programs. No part of the purchase price is tax deductible. UNICEF does not endorse any brand or product. For more information visit www.unicefusa.org.
