POSTPONED UNTIL HEALH CONDITIONS IMPROVE, HOPEFULLY WE CAN HOST IT FALL 2021

We apologize for the inconvenience, but hope you can join our virtual version of the fest called #CreateForUNICEF

HYOUSTON DIVERCITY FEST (HD Fest) is a festival that draws international and internationally minded young artists and artists-to-be from the Houston area to present global messages through art, music, dance, presentation, talents and more to demonstrate how stories can be communicated across cultural and linguistic barriers. The festival will bring together representatives from various UNICEF programs, schools, faith-based institutions, diaspora communities, partner organizations and underrepresented populations to inspire joint action for a better inclusion in Houston, unified under the umbrella of UNICEF.

Stories are part of every one of you! We are all diverse and we have something to share. I encourage you to dig deeper and find what your cause is and how your talents, experiences and activities shine light on your message to the world. And yes, you all have a talent! Check out the categories and submit your idea now! If your idea does not fit in any of the categories, please submit under 'YOUR IDEA'.

The festival will take the form of groups or individuals sending global messages and showcasing diversity they represent through art.

The best ideas among presentations receive UNICEF recognition to inspire further activities like focusing on global art expressions. We will recognize the top submissions on the day of the festival for each age category. All participants that are selected to present their idea will be also awarded with recognition certificate from UNICEF USA as well as given UNICEF swag.

See the art categories below and apply!

HOW TO HELP

There are many ways to make a difference

War, famine, poverty, natural disasters — threats to the world's children keep coming. But UNICEF won't stop working to keep children healthy and safe.

UNICEF works in over 190 countries and territories — more places than any other children's organization. UNICEF has the world's largest humanitarian warehouse and, when disaster strikes, can get supplies almost anywhere within 72 hours. Constantly innovating, always advocating for a better world for children, UNICEF works to ensure that every child can grow up healthy, educated, protected and respected.

Would you like to help give all children the opportunity to reach their full potential? There are many ways to get involved.
