Singer-Songwriter Katy Perry has joined with UNICEF to celebrate the second annual International Day of the Girl Child — a day to recognize girls’ rights and the unique challenges girls face.

UNICEF is marking the day by highlighting the power of innovation to get more girls into school and keep them there. Around the world, 31 million primary school aged girls are missing out on an education. Katy has made a video to shine the spotlight on the power of school for girls.

Join us on this International Day of the Girl Child by learning about UNICEF's innovative efforts to educate girls in Afghanistan , Bangladesh and many other countries or by supporting UNICEF's programs to make sure ZERO children are denied an education.
