Dolores Gahan
Dolores Gahan is a retired physician who received her medical degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Robert Wood Johnson Rehabilitation Institute. Before joining UNICEF USA's National Advisory Council, Dr. Gahan was a member of the Board of Directors for UNICEF USA from 2004-2022, including serving as National Board Co-Chair. Dr. Gahan has traveled with UNICEF USA to Ghana, Tanzania, Senegal, Kenya, Rwanda, Morocco, Brazil, Guatemala, Peru, Israel, Jordan and Bangladesh. She is passionate about the equality and well-being of children around the world. Her extensive travels have been vital to her deep knowledge of the powerful impact of UNICEF's programs on the lives of children. Her charitable affiliations include Northwell Health Foundation and the Boomer Esiason Foundation. Dr. Gahan, along with her husband, raised five daughters in Manhasset, N.Y., and they presently reside in Vero Beach, Florida.
