Rutvi

Rutvi, a high school senior from Virginia, is passionate about advocating children’s rights, particularly ensuring their access to basic necessities and education. As the founder of her own non-profit, Global Parivar, she currently is sponsoring young girls from Ecuador and Kenya to support their education and enable them to become leaders in their communities. Her first involvement with UNICEF was in her junior year when she founded her own UNICEF Club at her school. Her club strives to conduct fundraisers for UNICEF projects and raise awareness of children’s rights and the problems children face in their community including a campaign against vaping. With her position on the UNICEF Youth Council, she hopes to illuminate underserved communities and advance youth rights. In her free time, she loves to travel, learn new languages, and spend time with family
