Samiaht

Originally from Houston TX, Samiaht is an incoming freshman at the University of Texas at San Antonio majoring in Information Systems. From a very young age, she has always been fascinated by UNICEF’s work to make a change in our world through advocacy and encouraging equality and equity. This led her to fostering the idea that making positive contributions to our community is everyone's social responsibility and being a part of UNICEF USA has provided her the opportunity to make that contribution and ultimately work towards leaving our community a better place than she found it. Outside of UNICEF USA, she works with the City of Houston’s Mayor’s Office of Education and AliefVotes to promote civic engagement and youth participation. Likewise, she loves to cook, bake, read, and attend her church.
