Sophia
Sophia is a freshman at Cornell University but she’s originally from Orlando, Florida, and spent her adolescent years in New York City. She is passionate about the intersection of computer science and government, she enjoys exploring the impact of technology, specifically AI and cybersecurity, on legislation and how it shapes the functioning of our legal structures. She actively engages in local advocacy, fostering civic engagement in underrepresented communities and promoting student rights. She’s been featured in the New York Times for her efforts and continues her advocacy work through both her roles in the UNICEF National Youth Council and as the New York County Representative on the New York State Youth Council. In her free time, she loves to read, write, run, play lacrosse, and row.
