Wigdan
Wigdan was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Her family is from, Chad and Sudan. Currently, she is pursuing a double major in Global Health and Biology at Duke University in Durham, NC. Her passion and commitment to global health, advocacy, and equity have inspired her to join UNICEF USA. Recognizing the various global challenges children face— from lack of access to education to limited healthcare— has motivated her to dedicate valuable time to this impactful program. Coming from a low-income background, she recognizes the importance of stepping up and utilizing her voice, education, and skills to contribute to improving the overall health, education, and well-being of children and communities worldwide. Outside of UNICEF, she enjoys learning more about the field of medicine, traveling with family, and playing her all-time favorite sport of soccer.
