Clé de Peau Beauté, the luxury skincare and makeup brand of Shiseido Company Limited, supports UNICEF's efforts to educate and empower girls around the world. Clé de Peau Beauté is the first Japanese brand to commit to a multi-year global partnership with UNICEF.

Partnering since 2019

In 2019, Clé de Peau Beauté and UNICEF launched a three-year partnership with a focus on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), to help address the gender gap in worldwide education. Between 2019 and 2022, the Clé de Peau Beauté and UNICEF partnership benefitted more than 3.5 million girls with skills-building and empowerment programs.

In 2023, Clé de Peau Beauté renewed their long-term commitment to girls' education, with an additional three-year commitment of $8.7 million investment to support UNICEF’s Gender Equality Program, the world's largest private sector contribution to this area. This second phase of the partnership specifically supports the Skills4Girls program, with the goal of benefiting 5.7 million more girls around the world by 2025.

Empowering Girls Through Inclusive STEM Education

Clé de Peau Beauté’s funds help UNICEF promote inclusive education in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) – areas which are traditionally inaccessible for girls – in Bangladesh, Kyrgyzstan and Niger, among other countries and regions across the globe. Through UNICEF programs, girls also learn critical life skills such as self-confidence, teamwork and decision making and have access to mentorships to further prepare them for the workforce.

The Serum: Supporting Girls’ Empowerment Programs With Each Purchase

Since 2019, Clé de Peau Beauté has donated $17.4 million to UNICEF through a percentage of global sales of The Serum, to support the education and empowerment of girls around the world. The Serum is the flagship product for the ongoing #UnlockThePower #KeyToABetterWorld campaign.
