BARBARA EISENSON

Barbara Eisenson received her BA from Williams College in 1977 and her MA in Teaching from Brown University in 1978. She taught English at the high school level in Connecticut for several years and then worked in educational publishing in Boston until leaving to focus on her four growing children. Throughout, she has been an active volunteer for school and community projects. She has recently served as Chair of the New England Regional Board of UNICEF USA and is a member of the Board of Trustees of the New England Aquarium and of the Board of Advisors for the Museum of Fine Arts. For over 20 years, she has been involved with Horizons for Homeless Children, an organization providing high quality preschool and other services to homeless children and their families in Massachusetts. She and her husband, Michael, raised their four children in Wayland, MA, and they now reside in downtown Boston.
