Georgia Team Attends UNICEF USA 2019 Advocacy Day
UNICEF USA brought together 700+ supporters from around the U.S. to advocate for the rights of children globally in the nation’s capital. The UNICEF USA Annual Summit takes places every year in the Spring and offers supporters the chance to meet one another, hear from UNICEF speakers, and meet with their representatives.
On March 12th, 2019 Georgia supporters were the first state to ever have a meeting scheduled with each member of Congress during the annual summit. The meetings were packed with everyone from Southeast board members to UNICEF club members speaking on behalf of UNICEF appropriations and the Violence Against Children Resolution.
HOW TO HELP
There are many ways to make a difference
War, famine, poverty, natural disasters — threats to the world's children keep coming. But UNICEF won't stop working to keep children healthy and safe.
UNICEF works in over 190 countries and territories — more places than any other children's organization. UNICEF has the world's largest humanitarian warehouse and, when disaster strikes, can get supplies almost anywhere within 72 hours. Constantly innovating, always advocating for a better world for children, UNICEF works to ensure that every child can grow up healthy, educated, protected and respected.
