It’s that time of year…

Before we know it, the leaves will be changing colors – autumn is on its way! For all of us at the U.S. Fund for UNICEF, that can mean only one thing – Halloween is around the corner, and so is Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF! This year, the original Kids Helping Kids® movement – a way for kids across America to help kids in need around the world – is introducing the first-ever Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF School Challenge! Elementary school teachers taking part in Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF can win a field trip to Tanzania to experience UNICEF's lifesaving work firsthand. All your class has to do is come up with a fun way YOU celebrate Halloween by helping others through Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF! Visit trickortreatforunicef.org for all the details. We’re also excited to introduce 2013 National Sponsors HSN, Inc. and Key Club International, as well as Promotional Supporters American Airlines and Coinstar, Inc!

As proud sponsor of this year’s campaign, HSNi will help raise funds to support UNICEF programs through special products sold at the Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF store on HSN.com. HSN, Grandin Road and Chasing Fireflies will support Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF with online stores where 10 percent of the purchase price will be donated to the U.S. Fund for UNICEF to help UNICEF’s lifesaving programs. Key Club International continues its support for Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF. Now in its 19th year, Key Club International has raised more than $6 million for UNICEF. All funds raised by the Kiwanis family through Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF will support The Eliminate Project, which seeks to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus, a deadly disease that kills nearly 60,000 innocent babies and a significant number of women each year. Key Club International, a student-led service leadership program of Kiwanis International, is the oldest and largest service program for high school students. For a fifth consecutive year, American Airlines will support Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF this October through UNICEF’s Change for Good program on American Airlines. American’s customers can donate foreign and domestic currency to support Change for Good in Halloween-themed collection boxes at Admirals Club® lounges and Flagship Lounges® worldwide.  From Oct. 24-31, American’s customers will be shown a special Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF video and will have the opportunity to make donations in our Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF collection boxes on selected international flights. In addition, American’s people will engage in fundraising efforts to support the campaign during the last week of October. And when you’re ready to turn in your own donations after Halloween, promotional supporter Coinstar, Inc.®, which joins our Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF campaign for the 60th year, will help count your donations! It’s that time of year again – we need YOU to show us what Kids Helping Kids means to your classroom, your family and your community. The annual Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF tradition has raised more than $170 million since 1950 to help children around the globe. Order your collection boxes today so we can continue to help kids throughout the world who need it most. The U.S. Fund for UNICEF is grateful for the support of our National Sponsors HSNi and Key Club International; along with Promotional Supporters American Airlines and Coinstar, Inc.  The U.S. Fund for UNICEF does not endorse any brand or product.
