Update on the K.I.N.D. Fund

If you are a regular reader of FieldNotes, you've heard about the K.I.N.D. Fund for Kids In Need of Desks in Malawi. Our partner in this campaign, MSNBC's  Lawrence O'Donnell,  recently reported the amazing response we have gotten in just one year. And he reminded us of the magnitude of the need. "It will take 10 years ... [to get desks for every student in Malawi],"  he told an audience of school kids in New Jersey. You can still be raising money to do this for Malawi when you're in college." It came as no surprise to us that after the segment, online donations to the K.I.N.D. Fund soared and our phones were ringing off the hook.
